Ed Mascioli, M.D.Ed Mascioli, MD, is a Venture Partner at MPM Capital’s Boston office. He specializes in investments in biopharmaceutical therapeutics companies. Prior to joining MPM, Dr. Ed Mascioli was a Senior Medical Director at Parexel, an international clinical research organization. Prior to that, he was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and on the staff of the Deaconess Hospital in Boston. His research in lipid metabolism was initially funded by a New Investigator Research Award from the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Mascioli holds two licensed patents for marketed products, has received the Baxter Healthcare Corporation Award, and has authored several dozen scientific publications. Dr. Mascioli holds an M.S. from MIT, an M.D. from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a B.A. from Brandeis University. While at MPM, Dr. Mascioli has served or is serving on the Boards of Arriva Pharmaceuticals, CGI Pharmaceuticals, Elixir, Mindset, Oxagen, Peptimmune and Radius Health. |
