Ed Hotard Venture Partner
Edgar Hotard is developing relationships and opportunities in Asia and China for MPM and its portfolio companies. He is also a Senior Advisor to the Monitor Group, a strategy-consulting firm headquartered in Cambridge, MA and a Venture Partner with Arch Venture Partners. Ed was formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of Praxair, a global industrial gases company. In 1992, he co-led the spin off of Praxair from Union Carbide Corporation, where he was a Corporate Vice President. A graduate of Northwestern University, he is a co-founder of the China Economic and Technology Alliance and a Board member of both the U.S. China Business Council and of Global Industries, Inc. and Albany International.
