Koji Shinozaki Principal
Koji Shinozaki joined MPM Capital in June 2009 from Solasia Pharma K.K (an oncology specialty pharmaceutical company based in Tokyo). In November 2006, Mr. Shinozaki played a critical role in founding Solasia with MPM Capital Managing Director, John McDonald and former MPM Capital Venture Partner Bard Geesaman, MD, PhD. As VP of Corporate Development at Solasia he was instrumental in forming a strategic alliance with Kyowa Hakko Kirin. Prior to founding Solasia, Mr. Shinozaki was a member of Itochu Corporation's Life Science team and where he led 9 new investments in the U.S. and Japan totaling over $50 million and helped build a strong working relationship with MPM Capital. Mr. Shinozaki holds a bachelor's degree in Policy of Management from Keio University.
